What time is it?

It’s Burger Time!

With the little man in town for one of our brother and sister days, we planned an action packed day of fun. After an exhausting morning of playing sharks and generally being drowned by Alex at the local pool, we met up with Sammy, Roxy and Robert for lunch.

From the creators of Soho House, I give you Dirty Burger.

Dirty Burger

Basically it’s a grimy looking shack, in a car park in Kentish Town, under a rusty tin roof. Its sounds gross, it looks a bit gross but really it’s grimy in the trendiest sense of the word.

Head inside and you’ll find a tiny little room with enough seats for only around 20 people. They mustn’t get much passing traffic here but surprisingly it was packed!

Dirty Burger is definitely not buggy / small child friendly....high bar stools for falling off…..seats stuck to the ground and impossible for manoeuvring pushchairs around. Not usually an issue for me, but today it was a real first world problem.

The menu is sparse with just 3 burger choices and the special. This is a self service affair so head up to the bar to give your order, grab yourself an overpriced organic drink from the fridge on the way back and wait for your number to be called.

I spent the wait anxiously praying that my little bro wouldn’t slip off the stool, dropping the overpriced organic lemonade, smashing his head on the counter and go home with even more bumps!

Once unwrapped you can see where the name Dirty Burger comes from. It really does look dirty and you feel naughty for even thinking about eating it. But you’ve come this far so you’ll have to!

This little one got stuck in straight away and gobbled the lot. Better than Mc Donald’s I’m told but no toy which is upsetting.

Luckily with Robert around there is always some sort of sweet treat on offer and these two got their Easter presents. Lucky things!

The burger verdict is in....juicy pattys, absolutely packed with flavour, topped with fresh salad. Simple but perfectly formed. Dirty Burger gets 10/10 from Sammy and Roxy. Alex reckons around 8/10. For me, it’s no comparison to Patty and Bun.

We all agreed the crinkle cut fries were the only let down of Dirty Burger. Bit bland and soggy. Roxy gave them a good try but even she wasn't impressed.

So next time you fancy a big great dirty burger then you know where to go. You’ll devour the tasty thing in minutes then wonder whether you're allowed to order another one.

Next stop for us was a trip to the park to run off the naughtiness.
