Croatia - bubbles, seafood, sunsets....

Sunday, 27 July 2014

We woke up the next day and headed straight into town to explore. I’d been to Hvar with DG last year so was desperate to show the girls the sights and all the humongous yachts in the harbour. They are worth millions of pounds so we enviously stared at them for a while to see if we could spot Jay Z and Beyonce inside (sadly not!).

Then before we got depressed we headed for breakfast.

A big omelette with freshly squeezed juice, yum!

Hvar Town has something for everyone, amazing restaurants, shops, history, beautiful views and swimming opportunities and at night it is teeming with young, glamorous things drinking cocktails.

The locals are seriously chilled out!

They even agreed to us having a little photo session with the best car in town!

The water is by far the clearest I have ever seen and its the perfect temperature for a little paddle.

The sun was baking hot so we made a quick stop off at the market for supplies before heading back.

Ali couldn't believe her luck when she saw everything on offer!

Fruit and veg definitely doesn't look like this in Tesco!

Then it was all about serious pool time.

It was an amazing day of napping, chatting, laughing, canonballing and napping some more. That night we dined al fresco on our balcony on our delicious treats from the market, watching the amazing sunset.

Followed by a few rounds of "on the buses", our all time favourite holiday drinking game. Warning: playing with wine is a bad idea!

When we were suitably merry we tottered along into town for some partying fun. It was a night of drinking cocktails, making new friends and dancing till our feet hurt.

Hann was over the moon to find a guy who was crazily taller than her. This is a rare occasion and we always celebrate it with a photo!

The next day was much the same…..pool heaven. In the evening we decided a trip to the Fortress for sunset was a must . This meant a lot of stairs to contend with so we stuck our flats on and got climbing.

The views were well worth it.

A sunset should always be enjoyed with bubbles.

The town is filled with restaurants and bars hidden away in narrow cobbled alleyways. We were getting food envy at every turn so we stopped to sample some seafood and rest our weary feet.

Check out these mouth watering dishes.
