Kayla’s Bikini Body Guide - Week 5

Week 5 started off badly with a stonking, great big, sniffly cold on bank holiday Monday. Boo for me! I was out of breath just walking up the stairs, never mind working out, so I was resigned to the fact that this week of Kayla wasn’t going to happen. Luckily I managed to sort myself out, with a lot of encouragement from Jane and Catherine not to give up, and got my 3 workouts in.

I ended up doing 2 of my workouts outside as I couldn’t get to a gym which meant improvising a lot. Skipping without a skipping rope is good fun, I advise jumping on the spot repeatedly and waving your arms around like a loon!

The intensity for week 5 really increases so you’ll be doing 15 burpees instead of 10, tricep dips with your feet raised and hardcore push-ups. You’ll find that there is a lot of cursing Kayla too! Apparently she never wants you to feel like its getting easy so you’ll be glad to hear that the workouts get harder and harder.

So there are still no abs but I’m definitely feeling like I’m toned and healthier. I have more energy and am managing to roll out of bed with a bit more oomph in the morning.

Healthy tip of the week: Guzzle Green Tea.
This miracle liquid is nothing but amazing, it’s an antioxidant (which some say will reduce your chances of getting cancer) and has been shown to increase fat burning whilst boosting your metabolism. You might find it a bit of a strange taste at first but honestly keep going and you’ll never want to drink anything else. I try to drink at least 3 cups a day to keep the fat burning whilst I'm stuck at my desk all day!

I'd highly recommend this one - its bloomin' lovely!
